AGA Cogen Romania

COGEN Romania organized the General Assembly of the Association in Brasov.

The event provided the necessary framework for analyzing the activity of the last year and for determining the directions of action that will guide the Association in the coming period.

The central moment of the meeting was the election of the new Board of Directors, a structure that will coordinate the activities of COGEN Romania and will continue to represent the interests of the cogeneration sector in relation to public authorities, the energy industry and academia. The new Board of Directors expressed its commitment to strengthen the role of the Association in promoting energy efficiency projects, modern solutions for combined heat and electricity production and modernization of centralized heating systems.

The General Assembly discussed recent legislative developments, European and national funding opportunities, as well as the steps needed to implement the new requirements in the field of energy efficiency. Members stressed the importance of collaboration between authorities, operators and technology providers to accelerate the transition to more efficient and low-emission central heating systems.

This year's General Assembly reconfirmed the clear direction of COGEN Romania: supporting the development of modern, integrated and sustainable centralized systems that play an essential role in the energy transition and in achieving Romania's climate goals.
