COGEN Romania's participation in the conference “Energy Transition: Between Strategic Objectives and Reality”

On March 16, 2026, mr. Mihai David, President of COGEN Romania, participated as a speaker at the conference “Energy Transition: Between Strategic Objectives and Reality”, organized at the Palace of Parliament by the Society of Energy Professionals.

The event brought together representatives of the authorities and the business environment, in a direct discussion about the challenges of the moment — from energy security and what the energy mix should realistically look like, to the role of natural gas, nuclear energy and the integration of renewable sources.

In the panel dedicated to energy security, Mihai David spoke about a very concrete thing: what high-efficiency cogeneration can do right now, not just in the long term. Simultaneous production of electricity and heat means better use of resources, less dependence on imports and a real step towards decarbonisation.

COGEN Romania's participation in such events reflects the organization's active involvement in the debates about the future of energy and the desire to contribute with pragmatic solutions for the energy transition.
