General Assembly of the Professional Association COGEN ROMANIA: Cogeneration and Prospects for the Next Year

Brasov hosted a particularly important meeting for the Professional Association COGEN ROMANIA during the General Assembly held on November 17, 2023. This meeting marked an important moment for the association, in which the line for 2023 was drawn and the basis for the strategy for 2024 was laid.

In an ever-changing world, our association, recently rebranded to reflect its new visions and objectives, has strengthened its commitment to promoting and improving cogeneration — essential in the simultaneous production of electricity and heat, reducing environmental impact and optimising energy efficiency.

COGEN Romania Strategy

One of the major points addressed at the meeting was the association's strategy for the coming year. Our members, including experienced operators as well as energy specialists, have outlined a clear and comprehensive vision to meet current and future challenges. Cogeneration has been put at the heart of this strategy, highlighting the essential role it plays in transforming and improving the energy sector in Romania as well as for achieving the environmental targets assumed by Romania.

In addition to outlining the strategic direction, the meeting also marked a period of expansion and growth of the association by admitting new members.
